Frosted Peach Whiskey Sour

  • 2 oz bourbon Maker's Mark is perfect for this
  • 1 oz lemon juice fresh
  • 1 oz peach simple syrup instructions below
  • ½ cup frozen peaches
  • ice
  • peach slices and mint sprigs for garnish

Peach Simple Syrup

  • 1 cup slices peaches
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar

Instructions
 

Frosted Peach Whiskey Sour

  • In a blender, combine the bourbon, fresh lemon juice, peach simple syrup, and, frozen peaches. Blend until the mixture is smooth and frothy.
  • Add ice to the blender and blend again until the mixture is thick and slushy.
  • Pour the frozen peach sour into a glass and garnish with peach slices and mint sprigs.

Peach Simple Syrup Recipe

  • In a saucepan, combine the sliced peaches, water, and sugar.
  • Bring to a boil and then reduce the heat to a simmer.
  • Let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has dissolved and the peaches have softened.
  • Remove the saucepan from the heat and let it cool for about 10 minutes.
  • Then, strain out the peaches and discard them.
  • You should be left with a clear peach simple syrup. Store the syrup in a jar in the refrigerator until you're ready to use it.
